We welcome you to learn from the incredible leading industry professional, Tom Jackman, how to utilize renewable energy sources in your home or farm/acreage. He will introduce you to the technologies available to us and how they can be applied in your real life.

Tom Jackman installs solar energy systems for residential and commercial clients. He started his career in Manufacturing, which led to executive roles in global corporations. He transitioned to solar in 2008 with the acquisition of Simple Solar Heating Ltd. Initially focused on residential solar heating, Simple Solar diversified into solar PV five years later and in 2017 moved into commercial solar PV with the formation of Sol Power Projects Ltd. For ten years ending in 2022, Mr. Jackman also led projects at SAIT’s Green Building Technology research center to advance renewable energy technologies. He holds four patents in the field of solar heating, is a certified solar installer and consults on renewable energy projects.

Tom is married with two adult sons and when he isn’t working on a solar project Tom likes to go hiking, biking, skiing or snowshoeing in the mountains.
